Functions of the Society Governing Body:

  • Annual review of the physical and financial progress of the Project.

  • Endorsement of the annual Project budget/Annual Operational Plan.

  • Endorsement of the Project Operational Manual.

  • Providing overall guidance for implementation.

  • Providing Policy back-up to facilitate functioning of the Project.

  • Facilitating inter departmental co-ordination- particularly concerning funding and fund convergence between GoT contributions and Project funds.

  • Liaising and communicating with Project donors on behalf of Government of Tripura.

    Functions of the Project Management Authority:

    It is the Executive body of the society and manages the overall implementation of the Project from an office in Agartala. The specific function of the Project Directorate includes:

    • Planning, implementing, managing and monitoring all activities of the Project


    • Managing Project budgets and expenditure


    • Recruiting Project staff and managing their performance


    • Sanctioning budgets for Village Development Plans submitted by the District Project Management Authority


    • Reporting to donors and GoT on Project performance.


    • Organising and Planning for technical inputs by consultants to the Project
